The House-Museum of mahmudkhoja Behbudi was established on October 18, 2021 on the basis of the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 13, 2021.

The opening ceremony of the museum was held on October 18-the day of the city of Samarkand.

The House-Museum is one of the scientific and educational sites in the scientific study and wide promotion of the creative activity of Mahmudkhoja Behbudi, who is considered a famous enlightener, playwright, journalist and publisher.

The expositions built in the museum are based on a scientific concept, in which M.The life and work of behbudi, the history of jadidism, cultural and educational realities of the early 20th century, museum objects, documents, photo nushas and other objects are on display.
