The Tomb of Amir Timur is recognized as a unique work of Central Asian architecture. The construction of the mausoleum began in 1403 by The Great Sahibkiran Amir Timur and was completed during the reign of Mirzo Ulugbek.

When the mausoleum is finished, the body of Mirsayid Baraka, the spiritual mentor of Amir Temur, is moved to this tomb and buried on the head side of Sahibiron. According to some legends, The Emir bequeathed to be buried on the foot side of Timur Piri. The mausoleum was also buried by Mironshah Mirzo, Shahruh Mirzo, Sheikh Sayyid Umar, Mirzo Ulugbek and two children of Ulugbek who died in infancy – Abdullah and Abdurahman.

The interior of the building will be newly decorated by Ulugbek, huts will be placed on the mausoleum stage and an elegant marble stone fence will be placed around it. The mausoleum is accessed from 1424 through a multi-domed gallery built on its east side. Only the roof was kept from the Muhammad Sultan complex. Brass, lojuvard and gold water were used in the dome.

The walls of the mausoleum are covered with bluish, air-colored and white glazed tiles, these tiles are dialed in a geometric shape, an Arabic letter is finished and masterfully worked. The circumference of the lower part of the dome is 15 meters in diameter, and its weight is not felt, although the height of the circle is 12.5 meters. It is 36 meters from the Tomb Hill to the tip of the dome.

Built during the reign of Mirzo Ulugbek to enter the mausoleum, the doorways and tops were elegantly decorated. At the bottom of the wall is an Isora made of blue transparent onyx stone. Onyx's stitches are decorated by picking blue stones.

Above the sagas, located in the middle of the mausoleum, there are stones with inscriptions dedicated to the timurians. A dark green jade stone was placed over the Tomb of Amir Timur.

In 1994-1996, the first president of the Republic of Uzbekistan I.On the initiative of Karimov, large-scale repair and restoration work was carried out.
