The repertoire of the theater consists mainly of world classics. It also hosts concerts of guests of the capital, foreign performances, theater festivals, including solo and national performances. The Alisher Navoi Academic Theater is the largest theater in Southeast Asia. Its history dates back to 1929, when lovers of the concert and ethnographic ensemble, under the leadership of M. Kari-Yakubov, organized a professional theater.
