The opera “The Tales of Hoffmann” returns to the stage of Tashkent: on March 27 and 28, 2026, the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi will present the famous work by Jacques Offenbach in a production by Stefano Poda — one of the most striking contemporary interpretations of this masterpiece of world operatic classics.
The plot of the opera is based on the works and biography of the great Romantic writer Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann. Accompanied by the music of Jacques Offenbach, performed by the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan, his memories and creative fantasies come to life.
Director Stefano Poda, known for his distinctive artistic approach, explores the depths of the human psyche, demonstrating that opera is a living and universal form of art.
