Andrea Bocelli Concert at Registan Square, Samarkand
With the support of the Art and Culture Development Foundation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.
On September 1, 2025, one of the world’s most magnificent historical sites — Registan Square in Samarkand — will host an extraordinary event: a concert by the legendary Italian tenor, Andrea Bocelli. For the first time, the celebrated artist will perform in Uzbekistan, against the stunning backdrop of Samarkand’s iconic architectural ensemble.
This unforgettable evening under the open sky will feature masterpieces of classical music and beloved popular works, brought to life by one of the greatest tenors of our time. Joining Bocelli as a special guest will be Aida Garifullina, one of the world’s leading operatic sopranos. The performance will also include the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan and prominent national choral ensembles.
Andrea Bocelli is globally recognized as a symbol of the Italian vocal tradition. Over the course of his illustrious career, he has sold more than 90 million records and received six Grammy and six Latin Grammy nominations. Bocelli has performed on the world’s most prestigious stages — for four U.S. Presidents, three Popes, the British Royal Family, as well as at the Olympic Games, World Expos, and major international cultural forums. His star graces the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
In 2011, he founded the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, whose mission is to support cultural and humanitarian initiatives across the globe. His performance in Samarkand is a continuation of this mission, fostering cultural dialogue and strengthening ties between Uzbekistan and the international community.
The project is part of the strategic initiatives of the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan, aimed at expanding international cultural exchange, promoting Uzbekistan as a hub of global dialogue, and supporting the creative industries. Registan Square, one of Uzbekistan’s most iconic architectural and cultural landmarks, will serve as the majestic setting for a truly unique musical evening, uniting global stars and leading figures of the national cultural scene.
Andrea Bocelli’s concert at Registan marks a milestone in the cultural life of the country and continues a successful series of high-profile international projects in Uzbekistan. The event is expected to attract a broad international audience and further promote cultural tourism in the region.
The concert is organized by the Art and Culture Development Foundation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, with the support of the event’s general sponsors — the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of Uzbekistan and Promstroybank JSC.
We invite all lovers of great music and culture to witness this extraordinary evening in the heart of ancient Samarkand.
